Credit Score Estimator (Rough Range)

Answer five quick questions to get a rough range and see which factors help or hurt you most.

Rough estimate — not your real FICO® or VantageScore® score. Real scores are calculated by the credit bureaus and scoring companies from your full credit reports, with formulas that aren't public. This tool only uses the general factor weights FICO publishes — payment history 35%, amounts owed 30%, length of credit history 15%, new credit 10%, credit mix 10% (source: myFICO, "What's in my FICO Scores?"). Your real score can be very different. Many banks and card issuers show your real score for free in their app or online account — check there.
Do you have at least one credit card or loan that has been open 6 months or more?
35% Payment history — late payments in the last 2 years?
30% Amounts owed — your total card balances as a share of your total card limits?
15% Length of history — how old is your oldest account?
10% New credit — credit applications in the last 12 months?
10% Credit mix — what kinds of credit do you have?

Not financial advice. This calculator gives estimates for general education only, based on the numbers you enter and simple assumptions (rates stay the same, no new charges or fees unless noted). Your card issuer's statements are the real numbers. Everything is calculated in your browser — nothing you type is sent or saved. See our Advertiser Disclosure.
